Big fan of the old Batman TV Show - featuring Adam West and Burt Ward. For whatever reason, I liked those costumes - the nylon tights and nylon leotards. That was at a time that predated spandex so you notice that it was either nylon, cotton, satin, leather or that cire type material that was used for Catwoman and Batgirl's costumes. Batman and Robin both wore nylon dance tights by capezio - that are still made today. Batman's were died grey as was his 100% nylon capezio leotard. Below, I've dyed a white nylon leotard with a grey acid dye. You have to use acid dye or the nylon won't pick up the dye. I made this one for a Batman suit but never completed it so I coupled it with some robin/capezio/flesh colored tights and put this together for a movie called, The Silver Sentinel. These are some photos we did for the movie - which features the Sentinel battling supernatural forces - as a sort of ghost hunter type warrior.
